IIFA Threads – Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to IIFA Threads – Indian Institute of Fashion Art (“IIFA,” “we,” “our,” “us”).
This website is an e-commerce platform designed to sell products created by IIFA students in our Garment Construction Lab or Textile App.

By accessing or using our site, you (“user,” “you,” “customer,” or “student”) agree to abide by and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Nature & Purpose of the Website

This platform allows students to sell their work and earn while learning.
Ownership of Products: All listed products are created and owned by individual students unless otherwise stated.
Earnings: The full product sale price (excluding website maintenance and shipping/courier charges) goes directly to the student who created the item.

3. Eligibility

Customers must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase.
Students must be currently enrolled at IIFA and have clearance from the institute to list products.

4. Product Listings & Descriptions

All product information, images, and details are provided by the student seller.
We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that descriptions or images are error-free.
Colors may vary slightly due to lighting or display settings.

5. Pricing & Payments

Prices are set by the student seller in consultation with IIFA Threads.
Payments are processed via secure payment gateways.
Only website maintenance fees and shipping charges are deducted; the remainder is paid to the student.

6. Order Processing & Delivery

Students ensure that products are ready for dispatch after an order is placed.
Dispatch is managed by IIFA Threads through reliable courier services.
Delivery timelines are provided at checkout but may vary due to unforeseen circumstances.

7. Return, Refund & Exchange Policy

Exchanges are allowed only in the following cases:

Incorrect item received.
Item damaged during delivery.

Conditions:

Complaints must be raised within 48 hours of product receipt with supporting photos/videos.
Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 7–10 working days.

8. Student Earnings & Payouts

Students receive their proceeds (sale price minus website upkeep and shipping fees) within 7–10 working days of successful delivery.
IIFA Threads is not responsible for students’ tax obligations.

9. Intellectual Property

Students retain all rights to their designs unless assigned in writing.
Customers may not reproduce, copy, or commercially use a purchased design without the student’s consent.

10. Code of Conduct

For Students: Products must be original, ethical, and not violate third-party rights.
For Customers: No abusive, fraudulent, or unethical activity is permitted on the platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

IIFA Threads acts solely as an intermediary between students and customers.
We are not responsible for:

Loss due to improper product use.
Minor differences in product quality or color.
Delivery delays caused by shipping partners.

12. Privacy Policy

Data is collected only for order processing and account management.
Personal information is never sold to third parties.

13. Changes to Terms

IIFA Threads reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Continued use of the site after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Shipping Information

Charges: Actual courier charges applied at checkout.
